BLUEGRASS GEM AND MINERAL CLUB MEETINGS:
We meet the third Sunday of each month at various library branches. All Sunday meetings are at 1pm
There will be no regular club meetings in December or January due to the Christmas party and January Show & Tell at Tates Creek Library.
01/11/25 BGGMC Show & Tell,
11 AM- 4 PM (Tates Creek Library) This is an open to the public event that the Fayette County library is promoting for our hobby. We will have some mineral/gems display tables, information about the club and free giveaways. We ARE NOT allowed to sell anything or take any money. Please come out and support the club with your attendance.
01/25/25 Microminerals, 9:30-4:30 (Versailles Rd. Library)
Our Christmas dinner was a big success. We 50 folks in attendance and our silent and live auctions were well received and folks walked away with some awesome treasures. See pictures under our PHOTOS tab.
2025 LexGemShow
Today (9/25/24) we are excited to announce this update! All our vendors have been selected, the Clarion Ballroom has been reserved, and our club members are planning on another awesome show.
We are a group of hobbyists and professionals that have come together to share our love of rocks, gems, minerals, fossils, jewelry, and specimen collection. We have monthly meetings with an educational program, rock auction, door prizes, raffles and a business meeting. Currently our meetings are at 870 Corporate Drive Suite 104 in Lexington, KY. We meet the third Sunday of every month at 1:00 PM. Seating is limited so bring a comfortable chair.
We encourage rock enthusiasts to join us at our meetings. We also lead monthly field trips for members to various sites around Kentucky and the surrounding region. At various times during the year we also sponsor gem and mineral shows that provide an opportunity for the public to see and purchase, rocks, gems, minerals and jewelry.

2025 DUES UPDATE
At our August 18, 2024 club meeting the members voted to reduce the club membership from the previous $25 a year for new members to $20 per year. This also means if you forget to renew a current membership by December 31st, the renewal fee will be just $20. Remember if you are late in your renewal your name will be taken off the newsletter email and you would not be able to attend any of our field trips because of insurance regulations.
